“We recently celebrated my father’s 70th birthday at Horwood House Hotel, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Ellie from the events team was our initial point of contact and was absolutely fantastic. Despite managing a very busy period with Christmas events, she remained highly communicative, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the planning process. We later met with Georgina, who showed us the various private room options available. All areas were beautifully decorated, well maintained, and clearly cared for. We ultimately chose the Burton Suite, which turned out to be the perfect size and setting for our celebration. On the day itself, the service was impeccable. Natalie looked after us and was truly outstanding — discreet yet incredibly attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The rest of the team mirrored this high standard of service, making us feel very well looked after. The food was also excellent: well prepared, beautifully presented, and thoroughly enjoyed by all our guests. I would highly recommend Horwood House Hotel and their helpful, cheerful, and professional events team. They played a huge part in making such a special milestone celebration memorable for all the right reasons.”

“Lovely hotel! I had an amazing, relaxing weekend here with my fiancé. The facilities were great-especially the spa and swimming pool, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing break away!”

“Visited for 1 night. Had great service straight from check-in, meals through to checkout. Staff were all friendly and happy to serve. The room we had was a complimentry upgrade from what we expected, which was very clean, had lovely views over the fields and a very comfortable bed. The gym was very well equipped with cardio and weight machines plus free weights. Dinner way lovely. Really enjoyed the breakfast, from pastries to 'serve yourself' full English. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.”

“Lovely hotel with classy feel. Hotel let us in to our room an hour early to allow us to get ready for a wedding we were attending in the hotel. Our room was small but suitable for all our needs. There was no Aircon but a fan was included. We were lucky our room was north facing on a weekend when temperatures were at an all time record high. Plenty of free parking. Nice grounds to walk around. Breakfast was good quality. Staff polite and friendly.”

“I recently stayed at Horwood Hotel, overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and plenty of greenery that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to unwind. The staff were a real highlight of the stay—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made a big difference. That said, the room was a bit of a letdown. It felt quite small, and unfortunately didn’t reflect the charm and elegance of the rest of the hotel. While everything was clean and functional, it lacked the character you might expect given how lovely the main building and surroundings are. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay for the setting and service, but the rooms could definitely be improved to match the rest of the experience.”
